Kenny and Tawalia Humphries are on-site chaplains serving in the Eagle Ford Shale in Gonzales. They minister to truckers seven days a week, handing out Oil Patch Bibles and praying with them. They prepare breakfast tacos and fully loaded baked potatoes at various times during the week. Ministering to them physically has afforded them the opportunity to share God's love in many ways.

Judy Hadley has been with us from the beginning. She is our treasurer and provides other assistance as needed.
Gary and Kim Haynes are the newest additions to our chaplain team. Gary is employed full time and Kim is a part-time nurse and substitute teacher in Gonzales. And yet, they find time to be effective in the Oil Patch. They are putting the Oil Patch Bibles in the local hotels and Laundromats. Kim coordinates sandwich, chip and cookie delivery to the various oil patch sites.
Hollas and Nelda Hoffman felt God's call and responded on August 29th 2013. They spend their time recruiting and training others to serve in the Oil Patch.
Speaking to Directors of Missions and churches is a major thrust; making sure churches know Oil Patch Chaplains exist to minister to needs of individuals in oil related work and to refer them back to churches for follow up. In addition, they call on companies throughout the Eagle Ford Shale, building relationships and ministering to those they contact.
Cory and Sarah Davis are both employed in the oil and gas industry and have a heart for ministry in the oil patch. Prior to employment in the oil patch, Cory served for two years as a bi-vocational Youth Pastor at Lakeview Baptist Church in East Texas. The Davis' live in Gilmer, Texas and attend Mulberry Springs Baptist Church in Hallsville. After working two weeks in the oil patch at Catarina in South Texas, Cory then returns to Gilmer for two weeks to enjoy being home with Sarah and two year old Sophia.
Phil and Peanut Scott have been married for 37 years and are members of Westshore Baptist Church in George West. Phil teaches a Sunday School Class and Peanut ministers alongside Texas Baptist Men. She has traveled to South Texas for three years building homes for families through the WMU Women's Build. Phil has been in the oil industry for over 30 years.
James is a dispatcher with an oil field servicing company in Corpus Christi. Members of Windsor Park Baptist Church, he serves as a SS teacher and ministers to families in the community. James' degree is an Associate of Arts in Ministry Studies from South Texas School of Christian Studies in Corpus Christi. Cyndi is a Legal Assistant with a law firm. They enjoy frequenting used book stores and loving on and sharing the hope of Jesus with families.
Buck and Lisa Buckminister
Buck and Lisa are members of New Life Baptist Church in DeRidder, La. They travel throughout the United States delivering oilfield equipment to many companies in the oil producing states. They give out the Oil Patch Bibles as they witness to workers in the oil field.
Steve is a retired safety director who has worked for various oil companies. Esther works with children at FBC, Portland where they both are members. Steve teaches a men' Bible class and is a member of the Oilfield Christian Fellowship in Corpus Christi.
Rick is pastor of Knot Baptist Church and previously served as Chaplain for the Texas State Hospital in Big Spring. Rick served in Clinical Chaplaincy at Hendrick Medical Hospital and is also a retired Military chaplain. In his spare time, Rick enjoys metal working. Deborah is a retired Special Education Teacher and she plays the piano. Her hobby is making " bags" for the staff at the VA hospital and oil patch workers. They are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild, a little boy!
Roy is a member of First Baptist Church, Portland where he teaches Sunday School and works with Senior Adults. He has a passion to share the Good News of Jesus with those he meets and his enthusiasm is infectious. Roy works in the oil field in the sales area.
Jacob (Jake) Betts lives in Quitman and works in the Carthage area. He is married to Chelsea and has two step-children, Carsey Lynn (5) and Cali Ann (3). Jake is a member of Church on the Rock and is a technician at Henderson Inspection Services in Henderson. Jake became a Christ Follower only 18 months ago, but it thrills him to share his testimony about Jesus and is excited about sharing the Oil Patch Bibles with people in the oil field.
Dustin and Amanda Troy live in Carthage and are members of Still Waters Cowboy Church. Dustin works for Henderson Inspection Services in Carthage. Amanda is a mom and housewife and wears many hats as she serves in her church. They have two children, Rhianna (8) and Justin (5).
Terrell Elliott is a member of FBC, Portland. He is a Sunday School teacher and leads impromptu Bible studies at his church. As a police officer, he is trained and serves on crisis intervention teams. Terrell has opportunities to minister to individuals working in the oil fields when they get arrested.
Robert and Debbie Fowlkes are members of FBC, Schulenburg. Robert is a retired truck driver who is now self-employed. He holds Bible studies at two nursing homes every Sunday. In addition, he serves as a Deacon in his church and on the School Board. When he has spare time, he goes fishing and hunting. He also has trained for Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief.
Debbie just retired after 36 years in the field of education. She is trained and serves with Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief. Upon retirement, she started a restaurant business. Debbie and Robert both belong to primitive (pre 1840) camping organizations and both used to 'mud race!'
